Valid value	Description
exercise	The detection event is an encounter conducted for training, practice, or operation process evaluation purposes.
check	The detection event is for the purpose of checking or preparing the detection device and associated resources for operational readiness.
other	An other unspecified kind of detection event.
background	The detection event is for the purpose of measuring ambient environmental conditions at the measurement site.
calibration	The detection event is for the purpose of calibrating the detection device and recording the calibration data.
encounter	The detection event is for the purpose of inspecting by device measurement(s) of an item (or set of items) to determine if threat materials are present, and if so, the nature of the materials and the threat they may pose.
test	The detection event is an encounter conducted for the purpose of evaluating the detection device.
