The date of an event named in the element, such as the attestation date (element attestation date and action) for an amendment document.

Since the date on a measure may be printed in many different fashions, including incomplete dates and formal dates written out as a series of words, this attribute provides a machine-readable date in a standard form for searching and document management purposes.
